CHEM-CRETE® YUFIX® CCC® 1000

Water-based, Concrete and Masonry Water Repellent and Sealer

CHEM-CRETE® YUFIX® CCC® 1000 is a unique, water-based, proprietary formulation of chemicals that repel water and seal a variety of construction materials, providing waterproof surfaces.

The very low viscosity of YUFIX CCC 1000 allows it to penetrate deeply and become an integral part of the treated substrate. The product does not rely on an alkali reaction for it to catalyze within a treated substrate. The product protects, preserves and waterproofs without any surface film formation or color change. Treatable substrates include concrete, cementitious mortars and plasters, limestone, marble, granite, brick, natural stone and pottery.

Treatment provides substrates protection from weathering, air and water-borne contaminants (dirt, acid rain, industrial pollutants), maintaining cleaner surfaces. It also reduces or eliminates efflorescence, mold, mildew, algae, bacteria and reduces or eliminates damage caused by freeze/thaw cycles (scaling, spalling, cracking, pop outs, etc.) and corrosion of reinforcing steel.

Treatable substrates include:  Concrete, cementitious mortars and plasters, marble, granite, natural stone, industrial stone and clay.

Areas of application:

  • Building exteriors
  • Walls
  • Decks
  • Patios

APPLICATION

Methods of Application: Spray, roll or brush.

Apply using:

–   Low-pressure sprayer –   Paint brush or roller
–   Bristle broom –   Squeegee

Surface Preparation: Surface must be clean, free of surface efflorescence, paint, sealer, oil, adhesive, curing compound, form release agent and/or anything that will impede YUFIX CCC 1000 penetration into the substrate.

Recommended cleaning methods include compressed air, pressure washing, scrubbing or other methods to remove surface dust, dirt or other contaminants.

Heavily contaminated areas must be cleaned using biodegradable cleaners (CHEM-CRETE CONCLEAN CCC060, recommended) and a pressure washer to remove deeply penetrating contaminants.

YUFIX CCC 1000 may be applied to damp surfaces free from standing water.

Vertical application: Apply from the bottom up. Higher coverage rate is recommended.

Coverage: One coat only. Rates are approximate and for estimating purposes only. Field testing should be performed on the actual substrate surface to determine appropriate coverage rate.

Apply with an even, uniform spreading rate. If a white precipitate should form, after curing, due to overspray or over-application, wash treated surface with water. Scrubbing maybe required.

Limitations: Do not apply under the following conditions:

  • Temperature below 40ºF (5°C)

Precautions: During application, do not allow product to come in contact with metals or glass. If contact occurs, immediately wash contacted area with water. Do not apply more than one coat.

Cleaning: Clean all equipment and tools with clean water immediately after use.

STORAGE

Two-year shelf life when stored in its original, unopened container, in a cool, dry place. Always agitate the product before using. DO NOT ALLOW PRODUCT TO FREEZE. Repeated freezing and thawing may cause damage to the product.

SAFETY

As with all construction chemical products, adequate precautions and care must be taken during usage and storage.  Avoid direct contact with foodstuff, eyes, skin and mouth.  Contacted areas should be washed thoroughly with clean running water and soap.

Always wear protective goggles and gloves. In case of eye contact, flush for fifteen minutes with warm water. If eye irritation persists, seek medical attention. In case of ingestion or swallowing, drink two glasses of clean water and seek medical attention. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
