Why Chem-Crete?

Vision, technology and performance. Trust with care. We see a future where innovation, driven by technology, produces products that make the world a better place. Safer roads, stronger bridges, more reliable and longer lasting structures, and more are all possible with environmentally-friendly products. At International Chem-Crete, we take our responsibility seriously. When a construction project includes one of our products, it represents our company, our people and our commitment, to our customer and to the community that has placed their trust in us. We are Stewards of the infrastructure built by those who came before us and have a responsibility to preserve it. We are also responsible for the things we build for future generations and strive to be proud of the performance it will provide them.

Who Uses Chem-Crete?

bg
Highway Departments

Highway Agencies, worldwide, face challenges related to maintaining and preserving the massive investment in infrastructure and providing a safe and efficient transportation network. Chem-Crete products, both surface applied and inter-blended with the Portland cement concrete (PCC) can provide cost effective solutions to the most common problems including resistance to deicing salts, freeze/thaw damage, alkali-silica reactivity and many others.

bg
Cities and Municipalities

Cities and municipalities are typically responsible for a wide variety of infrastructure types including water and wastewater treatment facilities, structures, monuments, streets and roads. The Chem-Crete’s product line has a solution for many of the recurring problems that consume both time and limited resources common to most local government agencies. For example, Chem-Crete Pavix CCC-100 can be applied to existing slabs-on-grade (concrete streets, sidewalks, parking areas and others) to greatly improve performance and longevity, particularly in freeze/thaw environments or where deicing salts are used.

bg
Airport Authorities

Airport Authorities, worldwide, operate under very stringent construction and maintenance standards due to safety considerations and to minimize downtime that would impede normal airport operations. Concrete deterioration due to freeze/thaw, application of deicers, alkali-silica reactivity and other mechanisms can greatly affect both safety and operational readiness. Many of these issues can be addressed by application of appropriate Chem-Crete products that make the concrete highly impermeable and thereby minimize moisture and chemical-related damage.

bg
Engineers and Architects

Engineers and Architects are frequently tasked with writing project specifications and selecting appropriate materials. PCC is the most widely used construction material in the world and therefore is used in a variety of applications including highways, airfields, port facilities, buildings and numerous others. Chem-Crete products can be used to increase the longevity and performance of PCC used in the most challenging environments

bg
Contractors and Builders

Contractors are required to conform to both plans and specifications when constructing highways, airfields, parking areas, etc. They are frequently required to warranty their work for extended time periods against non-load related cracking and other forms of concrete deterioration. Chem-Crete has developed number of surface applied and internally mixed products to promote enhanced curing and minimize the influence of water and externally applied chemicals. In addition, specialty Chem-Crete products have been shown to minimize early plastic (drying) shrinkage cracking when used in conjunction with adequate curing thereby providing added insurance against this construction-related defect.
