May 14, 2002: U.S. Department of Commerce Awarded International Chem-Crete Export Achievement Recognition

The U.S. Department of Commerce awarded the prestigious “Export Achievement Certificate” to International Chem-Crete on Tuesday, May 14, 2002. The presentation took place during the “Trade Opportunities in the Andean Region” seminar in Arlington. Receiving the honor is Mr. Radi Al-Rashed, president of International Chem-Crete. The award recognizes U.S. businesses that have made export of USA products a significant portion of their earnings. Commerce’s North Texas Director Dan Swart made the formal presentation.

According to Mr. Swart, “Most jobs in America are created by small companies. Small and mid-sized companies like International Chem-Crete comprise almost 97 percent of U.S. exporters. Although companies may face additional challenges getting their products and services into overseas markets, the results are well worth the effort. International companies often tell us profits on international sales run 7 to 13 percent higher than in the domestic market.”
