CHEM-CRETE CCC5000 provides excellent protection against acid rain, mild dew and moisture intrusion.
CHEM-CRETE CCC5000 provides excellent vapor transmission guarding against freeze/thaw.
On Pressure-Treated Wood: even though pressure-treated wood is protected from rot and termites, it can be very vulnerable to water damage. Rain, melting snow, high humidity and other moisture penetrates the wood fibers and the wood expands and warps. Then, as the moisture evaporates, the wood dries out, contracts and often develops long splits and cracks, commonly seen on pressure-treated wood decks that have not been waterproofed. This cycle can repeat itself until the wood is extensively damaged. Hence the manufacturers of pressure-treated lumber generally recommend waterproofing it for more complete protection. CHEM-CRETE CCC5000 offers best results on the pressure-treated wood.
CHEM-CRETE CCC5000 helps prevent this type of damage by penetrating the surface to form an effective moisture barrier.
Surface Preparation: surfaces to be treated with CHEM-CRETE CCC5000 should be free of dirt, airborne contaminants and moisture. It is extremely important that the surface be completely dry. Substrates should be cleared-off with any coverings that may interfere with proper application and penetration.
Application: CHEM-CRETE CCC5000 is a low viscosity single-component liquid that can be easily applied with a low-pressure airless spray equipment, brush or roller. The application should be carried-out uniformly with the average coverage as given above. Should there be necessity on the effectiveness of the product in severe conditions, a second application may be required.
Coverage: the following coverage rates are approximate and for estimation purpose only. Make test applications on actual surfaces to determine coverage rates and effectiveness of the product.
Cleaning: clean all tools, equipment with mineral spirits immediately after use.
The product can be stored for 2 years in cool and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight.
